Bram’s Limburg
As a pro rider Bram moved from the eastern part of the Netherlands to Belgium to train with other riders around the Maastricht area. The living and training area of professionals like Tom Dumoulin and Wilco Kelderman. The area gives you all the possibilities for training. Flat rides, short steep climbs or longer climbing in the Ardennes. The options are endless, the roads Bram will show you are quiet, which gives you and ultimate cycling experience.
Discover Bram’s favorite roads in the beautiful surroundings of his hometown Rekem, 8 km north of the beautiful city Maastricht. Oud-Rekem is a gorgeous little village in the Maas valley, located between ‘het Heuvelland’ in the Netherlands and national park ‘De hoge Kempen’ in Belgium. The area is home to the best hilly cycling classics, ‘De Amstel Gold race’, ‘Liège-Bastogne-Liège’ and La Flèche Wallonie’. Discover the endless roads through the national park or experience a total different Limburg, only Bram knows.
What Bram says about his favorite hometown roads; “I have quite some roads to discover here in Limburg, I trained in this region for 18 years. I will show you the most beautiful training routes or the favorite training laps of the pros during their career. With countless climbs through the Ardennes and the Voer region. We will drink coffee at the favorite coffee stops of the pros with great names such as Moeder de Gans (Mother the Goose) or Het Hijgend Hert (The Panting Deer). For the real die-hards, we can go further down into Spa. Do you prefer the tranquility of the Hoge Kempen nature park? Here we can ride for hours on the road, on Belgian Limburg’s extensive cycle route network. The Hoge Kempen has the most beautiful cycle paths in Belgium for sure! We can go hours without encountering a single car. My Limburg can be a mix of great climbing efforts and a day of peace and nature on a racing bike. With always the start and finish in the historic center of Oud-Rekem.”
