Ed’s Yorkshire
Treat yourself to a cycling adventure with Ed in Yorkshire.
Here is what Ed says about her favorite hometown roads; “I was brought up in Yorkshire and, after a few years of living away, I moved back to this part of the world in part because of the great roads (and off roads!) on offer. I learned my trade on the same roads that I still ride on today, so I feel right at home.
Yorkshire has a strong history and culture of cycling and has produced many past and current cycling champions. Holmfirth specifically, is famous for the passing of the 2014 Tour de France which finished in Sheffield – the stage decimated the field and was won by Vincenzo Nibali, who went on to win the race overall.
The scenery and hillside views are also second to none!
If you want a bit of a challenge, then I can guarantee you will find that when riding around Holmfirth and into the Peak District. We will tackle interesting terrain as the climbs in the area are well known for being steep and technical, as are the descents.
I know the area well, and have lots of stories from my days as a pro-cyclist which may help ease the suffering ! I’m a performance consultant as well, so it’s a good chance to get some one-to-one coaching whilst on the bike.
