Does Girona need any explanation? Probably not. It is Europe’s cycling paradise for a great number of reasons, hence why more than half of the pro peloton settled down in this lovely city. Dennis and Robert will not show you the standard Girona cycling experience though. No, you’re in for a treat, you will go all Pro!

The Hors Categorie, the healthy food, specialty coffee and cycle cafe in Girona, will be the home and club house of your weekend. The place to start and finish your rides. With the right amount of caffeine, the chef’s delicious and healthy meals, drinks, bike parking and showers, there is everything a rider needs.
On Saturday
You will meet with Dennis and Robert at Hors Categorie Girona for good coffees and breakfast to be all ready for the day ahead. The guys will take you out for a five hours ride on their favorite roads and hidden gems, including a stopover.
Back at Hors Categorie a shower is waiting for, or you head back to your residence to fresh up for the evening program. The grande finale of today. An intimate dinner with the guys is waiting for you. Catch up with Dennis and Robert on the experience of the day over great food and drinks. Also on the program is a live Q&A session with Robert. All your questions about living and training as a pro and life in the peloton will be answered.
On Sunday
On Sunday you will meet up with Dennis and Robert for the second day of the Girona Pro weekend. The guys will take you out for a three hours ride including a stopover. But not before you kicked off with a good dosis of caffeine and breakfast at the Hors Categorie, the home and club house of your pro weekend.
After another day of enjoying the guys’ favorite roads, it’s time to finish off this super exclusive weekend with food and drinks. Time for a last catchup with Dennis and Robert, goodbyes and everlasting memories. The guys will make sure to finish in time for everyone who plans to be traveling out of Girona that day.

What do you need to arrange yourself?
To participate, all you need to do is get yourself to Girona on the Friday night before, or at least on Saturday morning at the Hors Categorie Girona before 9:30 am.

Dennis van Winden retired from the pro peloton but never stopped cycling. He is part-time Gravel pro in America (with an impressive 6th place in this year’s Unbound!) and studies to become trainer & coach. Robert Gesink is also in 2022 racing for Team Jumbo Visma. He rode most of his training kilometers from and around Girona, preparing big successes in races like the Tour de France and La Vuelta Espana. Straight after this weekend with you, Robert will meet his colleagues at Team Jumbo Visma for their first training camp for the new season.
