Living and training in Oudenaarde and having participated an impressive number of 10 starts at De Ronde van Vlaanderen, Jolien is surely the perfect ridemeister to discover Flanders’ finest with.
Have Jolien take and talk you through the original classic or discover the unexpected and more hidden side of the Flemish Ardennes. And while you’re enjoying the ride, ask for tips for once you’re done on the bike. Because you are riding with a true ridemeister of a region that, besides very famous cycling roads, has the best of Belgian cycling culture on offer.
What Jolien says about her favorite hometown ride; “Is there a better place to ride your bike than in the region of the Tour Of Flanders?! I have always felt privileged to live and grow up right in the heart of Belgian and perhaps even international cycling. I am really excited to give my guests the chance to ride over iconic climbs such as Koppenberg, Paterberg and Oude Kwaremont.
I promise you will feel like a real Flandrien cruising over those famous Flemish roads. Our ride starts and ends at the Centrum Ronde Van Vlaanderen in Oudenaarde, a cycling museum decorated and inspired from the Tour of Flanders (I definitely recommend paying them a visit after your ride too!). If your legs get tired from conquering all those cobbles, we stop for coffee and cake at a local cycling bar in Maarkedal where they welcome cyclists from all over the world. The people and atmosphere here breathes nothing but cycling. All in all I promise a great experience for everyone who wants to feel like a Flandrien(ne) for a day!”
