Karsten’s Hometown
Karsten lives in the Belgium – Dutch border area right where the epic classics of the Amstel Gold and Liege-Bastogne-Liege find their routes. You can choose to ride with Karsten on the roads of these classics or you can put yourself entirely in the hands of what Karsten would pick himself. If you fully want to leave it up to Karsten, he most probably will take you to the undiscovered and hidden roads his hometown has to offer. Whatever you choose, it will be a great ride out. And if you’re up for some respiration therapy afterwards to complete your extraordinary day, just ask Karsten. He will be happy to show you what difference respiration can make.
What Karsten says about his hometown;”Riding in Limburg and the Voerstreek is simply great. There is a reason of course why these regions are most popular for cycling in The Netherlands and Belgium. From serious climbs with great views, to riding through the most idyllic valley’s. And let’s not forget the burgundy lifestyle of the region and all the good stuff that comes with that. I would enjoy to take my guests to the place where I was dropped by Ivan Basso in 1998 for him to become a World Champion that year, while I also tell you all my secrets about the Amstel Gold Race.
Then for sure we should head toward the Voerstreek where we will have a stop-over for the best coffee and pastry in my region. If your up for the number one stop-over dish in The Netherlands, then we should stop at Moeder de Gans in Teuven for apple pie, which translates as Mother the Goose. And while we’re together, of course I would love to let you experience the power of respiration during a respiration session. All in all an enriched day you will definitely take home with you.”
