Martigny Region
The Martigny region in Valais, Switzerland has become a go-to cycling destination. It hosted the Tour de France in 2009 in Verbier as well as in 2016 at the Emosson dam and it should have welcomed the 2020 Road World Championships with the neighboring city of Aigle, which houses the headquarters of the UCI. But then there was covid…
Alain lives nearby and designed a 4-day tour to explore the area. Starting from Martigny, this tour will take us through magnificent scenery, on roads with moderate traffic, through the vineyards of the Rhone Valley to legendary passes.
While the ascent of the Sanetsch pass, the crowning stage of this getaway, enables you to discover one of the giants of the Alps, other passes such as the Croix de Coeur, the Forclaz, the Planches and the Lein all contribute to this not-to-be-missed experience.
(Alain can also design a one day experience in the Martigny region.)
