Michel’s Hometown
Join Michel on his favorite roads in the beautiful countryside surrounding his hometown Zevenhuizen, just northeast of Rotterdam, the departure city of the Tour de France in 2010.
From here, there are countless options where Michel can take you, but you will definitely explore the area around Gouda and the beautiful countryside between the biggest Dutch rivers, an absolute unique landscape.
What Michel says about this ride; “My hometown ride always starts with a delicious cappuccino, coffee or tea at my favorite restaurant with a view over the ‘Rottemeren’. After this, we are ready to leave for my favorite ride through the ‘green heart’ which is known to be a unique experience given this is an unusual wide nature reserve in an urban area of our country. Along the way we stop near the impressive Kasteel de Haar, close to Utrecht. It’s a great turning point to ride back to Zevenhuizen where we finish via the Koning Willem Alexander rowing course: a local ‘must do’ for sure.”
