Nijmegen Off Road
After my career I discovered mountainbiking and riding on gravel. To be honest today I spend most of my time off-road since it’s so much fun! Depending on your wishes you can go to the gravel road’s of the ‘Land van Maas en Waal’ or dive deep into the forest ‘Het rijk van Nijmegen”.
Het Rijk van Nijmegen has everything the mountain biker is looking for: rolling landscapes, challenging climbs, beautiful descents and a fantastic forest area. Its connected to het ‘Reichswald’ in Germany. The whole area has some great hills for if you are up for a challenge!
The great thing about cycling in the Land van Maas en Waal is the diversity. You can explore the area in detail by cycling between the rivers Maas and the Waal. Enjoy the rivers that meander through the landscape with outdoor polders, blooming fruit orchards, duck decoys and tree-lined islands, or the historic castles where you can taste history.
