Puck’s Hometown Gravel
Kesteren is located at the foot of the National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug, one of the rare slightly hilly areas in the Netherlands, providing many exciting options for routes.
To the east there is the National Park de Hooghe Veluwe, which also has small hills and some beautifully diverse sceneries that sometimes seem very un-dutch. It is without doubt the most beautiful area in the Netherlands and the terrain can be surprisingly challenging.
If you thought this area had many tarmac-options, try gravel! There’s even more of those. The singletrack of the local mountain bike trails can be challenging on a gravel bike, but there are endless flowy ones too, which make a very nice addition to the smooth and winding gravel roads in the area. Safe to say it is gravel heaven here!
