Puck’s Hometown Road
Kesteren is located at the foot of the National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Here you will find one of the rare slightly hilly areas in the Netherlands, providing many exciting options for routes.
To the east there is National Park de Hooghe Veluwe, which also has small hills and some beautiful diverse sceneries that sometimes seem very un-Dutch. It is without a doubt the most beautiful area in the Netherlands and the terrain can be surprisingly challenging. Along the ways there are the very typical Dutch dikes, which give you wide views over the Rhine river and the stretched fields next to it.
There are plenty of options for lunch in the region, as well as good coffee and cake at De Proloog in Amerongen. Upon arrival back in Kesteren you can enjoy the best ice cream in the country (Puck says) at de IJsboetiek, where you can also enjoy lunch and a high tea.
Puck moved here 1,5 years ago and has had more fun on her bike here than anywhere. She’ll show you her favorite roads and they will certainly make you fall in love too!
