What Stef says about his favorite hometown gravel rides; “’t Gooi is a great place for a gravel adventure. From the back garden of our former queen Beatrix’ residence to the moorland of Hilversum . Though not gravel, we should also definitely include the former tarmac air strip of the military airport Soesterberg. The Utrechtse Heuvelrug is the opposite direction from Utrecht and also ideal for gravel rides too. This side involves more climbing, so just let me know what your preference is. And we’ll go there. Fun fact, close to our former majesty’s back garden is the area with the most pancake restaurants per square kilometer in the world! It’s a beautiful little village too, and just outside in the midst of the forest is the perfect place for a stopover.”
