This is something special and a truly exclusive experience. Born and raised in the northern part of The Netherlands you will experience Thomas’ homeland, or playground as he likes to call it, and where he grew his talent to become a professional rider. And what a playground it was! The NH100 will have you ride on and off the beach, in and out of the woods and across the dunes in the backyard of famous local places like Schoorl and Bergen.
The NH100 was once planned as a social ride, but was not allowed due to protective legislation for the natural habitat. Small groups are allowed though, as long as you get out of the dunes before 10.30 am. That is actually great timing and makes this ride even more stunning and exclusive. Get out early and enjoy the morning views. Thomas will be waiting for you.
What Thomas says about the NH100; “The name stands for the province of Noord-Holland and the 100 kilometers ride, for those who were wondering. The ride was created with a group of friends as a super varied training ride in exactly 100 kilometers. I grew up here and also started cycling in this environment, which makes it very familiar to me. I really know every kilometer. The NH100 is a wonderful route that really has everything: forest, dunes and the beach. It’s 100 kilometers of suffering with a smile. Just like I do with my friends. Some of them have also been pros or are still competing today. When we ride we really go fast and competitive, while having the greatest fun at the same time. It’s kind of like our playground here. Only we have to be out of the dunes before half past eleven due to legislation. We once wanted to make the NH100 a social ride with all our followers, but that was not allowed. So I think it’s great that I can now offer this in an intimate version. If groups want a shorter distance that’s possible of course. I can make the ride tailor made to everyone’s desires and capabilities. I am sure that everyone will enjoy this unique ride, because of the variety, fun and the natural beauty.”
