Karol-Ann Canuel

Hello, I am Karol-Ann,

I got into cycling when I was 11 years old. My parents registered me in a local club and I really enjoyed riding my bike. Today I still really enjoy the freedom of the sport and explore some beautiful part of any country where I get to go.

I have been a professional cyclist for 12 years. I rode for Vienne-Futuroscope for four years, one year with Specialized-lululemon, one year with Velocio SRAM, 5 years for Boels-Dolmans and one year for SD-Worx. I just retired at the end of 2021.

I represented Canada at two Olympic Games (Rio and Tokyo). During my life as a pro, I moved to Girona to have a closest access to the races and a better terrain for an all year training.

A few years ago I completed my bachelor to become a nurse. I decided to become a professional cyclist instead though and follow my dream. Today, I want to stay involved in cycling by sharing my experience as a pro athlete with everyone that wants to hear about it 🙂

I want to enjoy life everyday. I’m always up for a new adventure or anything more simple like coffee and cake with friends. I want to be healthy have a positive influence on people that surround me.

Three times national champion of Canada.
Olympic athlete in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. Stage winner Thüringen Rundfahrt der Frauen.
