Beisdes this unique achievement, he also took home a Tour de France stage win, a Paris-Nice stage win and he won the Rund um den Henninger Turm twice.
Today Karsten is quite the eccentric adventurist, just like he was during his professional career. Besides being a cycling TV commentator for Eurosport, he is also a licensed respiration therapist, which he practices with clients on his beautiful farm.
