Her cycling career only started when she turned 30, something Roos still is very grateful for. She worked hard to combine work with cycling and was very aware of the skills and opportunities she lacked compared to younger colleagues who started cycling when they were kids. Roos is very conscious of the hurdles she had to overcome and therefore lives to chase her dreams.
Roos has raced all over the world, from the Giro Rosa in Italy to races in Poland, South Africa and China. She rode the epic classics of La Flèche Wallonie and Liege-Bastogne-Liege several times and her best professional result was a seventh place at La Vuelta a Burgos for women.

Today Roos is still involved in cycling as a coach and as board member of The Cyclists’ Alliance where she works tirelessly on the mission to make cycling one of the biggest women’s sports in the world and where she represents the competitive, economic, and personal interests of all professional women cyclists.
