After his career Thomas has shown himself to be a man of many interests. Having lived in the USA for several years and having traveled the world to enjoy and discover modern arts, Thomas returned to his favorite city Amsterdam only a few years ago. In the meantime he wrote a notorious book about his career with revealing insights into his personal life and the challenges he encountered. A second book is coming up soon. Thomas is also a much loved guest on Dutch television to analyze professional cycling and to talk about his life in the pro peloton.

Having rediscovered his love for cycling, Thomas is again taking on great adventures and traveling the world like he did in his professional days, mainly focussing on gravel riding this time. With his old team mate Laurens ten Dam and his friends from Live Slow Ride Fast, Thomas participated in Unbound, the Migration Ride in Kenia and will ride in a new race coming up soon in Colombia.

In between these adventures, Thomas is here to be your personal ridemeister. Needless to say, you’re up for an inspiring and expert ride out with an intriguing ex-pro.
